Air Fryer Boneless Pork Chops
We know how hectic weeknights can get between practices, games, and homework. Sometimes, you just need a quick dinner that’s not only easy to prepare but also delicious and nutritious. Enter the air fryer pork chops! This simple recipe is perfect for busy nights when you need to get dinner on the table fast without sacrificing flavor or nutrition.
Why Air Fryer Pork Chops?
Air frying is a game-changer for weeknight dinners. It cooks food quickly and gives it that crispy texture we all love, while using less oil than traditional frying methods. Plus, pork chops are a great source of protein and can be seasoned in countless ways to suit your family’s taste.
Ingredients
For this quick recipe, you’ll need:
- 4 boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
- 4 Tbsp Barbecue Seasoning or salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup Barbecue Sauce
Instructions
- Prep the Pork Chops: Start by patting the pork chops dry with a paper towel. This helps them get that nice, crispy exterior.
- Season: Rub the barbecue seasoning, or salt and pepper evenly over both sides of the pork chops.
- Air Fry: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F. Place the seasoned pork chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd them. Cook for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F. Add additional time if needed.
- Glaze: Glaze with Barbecue Sauce for the last minute of cooking time.
- Rest and Serve: Once cooked, let the pork chops rest for about 5 minutes. This helps keep them juicy. Serve with your favorite sides—think quick steamed veggies or a simple salad.
Tips for Success
- Don’t Overcrowd: If you have a larger family or want to make more chops, cook them in batches. Overcrowding can prevent them from cooking evenly.
- Check Temperature: Use a meat thermometer to ensure your pork chops are perfectly cooked without drying them out.
- Customize Seasoning: Feel free to mix up the spices! You can add a bit of cayenne for heat or swap in your favorite seasoning blend.
- Air Fryer Parchment Liners are a game changer and make clean up a breeze! Here are the liners I use for my air fryer.

Notes
- Taking the pork chops out of the fridge 30 minutes prior to cooking is the key to a short cook time. If you’re in a hurry and can’t do this, you will need to adjust your cook time by 5 minutes or more.
- Pork chops are a great make-ahead meal! To reheat cooked chops, pre-heat the air fryer to 375. Put the chops back in the air fryer for about 2-3 minutes, flipping once.
- If making more than 4 chops, it is best to work in batches. Air fryers work best when there is room for the hot air to circulate around the food being cooked, so don’t crowd the air fryer.
