Air Fryer Turkey Meatballs
Spring baseball season presents all sorts of obstacles to family dinner time. Especially on weeknights, dinner needs to be fast, healthy, and sometimes – portable. These air fryer turkey meatballs check all those boxes. If prepared beforehand, they can be reheated in the microwave and then eaten on the go.
I love this versatile recipe because it can be modified countless ways so that my kids aren’t eating the same dinner over and over again.
As an example, here are some of the ways I modify this recipe:
- Greek Turkey Meatballs: Add 1 tsp oregano to meatball mix. Serve cooked meatballs with my easy Greek Yogurt Tzatziki Dipping Sauce and whole wheat pita bread. Get the recipe free when you sign up for our newsletter.
- Italian Turkey Meatballs: Add 1 tsp Italian Seasoning to mix. Serve over pasta with jarred marina sauce.
- Asian Turkey Meatballs: Glaze meatballs lightly with Hoisin sauce after the meatballs have fully cooked. Serve over microwave brown rice and steamed broccoli.

Air Fryer Turkey Meatballs
Notes
This recipe is great for a meal on the go! Pair with a vegetable and a healthy side like brown rice or pasta.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 large egg
- 3/4 cup seasoned Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients.
- Using wet hands or a small cookie scoop, shape into 1 1/2 inch diameter meatballs (about 12 meatballs). Flatten meatballs slightly so they don’t roll.
- Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees.
- Once air fryer has preheated, spray basket with non stick spray. Place meatballs in a single layer in air fryer basket, making sure to leave at least 1/2 inch between meatballs so air can circulate.
- Set air fryer timer for 10 minutes. Flip meatballs halfway through cooking time.
- After 10 minutes, check for doneness. Turkey is cooked when the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
