Teens and Tweens (12 Years Old+)
Having a tween/almost teen baseball player myself, I know that they are difficult to shop for. Most Teen or Tween Baseball Players have been playing for a couple years, and likely will have accumulated a good amount of equipment and baseball memorabilia. The below recommendations are age appropriate and are sure to save you from any tween-age eye rolls.
Gift Recommendations for Teen and Tween Baseball Players:
- Scratch Off Major League Ballparks Poster Keep track of the MLB Stadiums visited with this super cool scratch off poster. Great room decor!
- Topps 2021 Baseball Card Series 1 Blaster Box Though your Teen or Tween may be long past the days of begging for one specific toy on Christmas morning, that doesn’t mean they can’t get excited about their gifts too. There’s something so exciting about opening up these big boxes of Baseball cards and looking for that rare card.
- Louisville Slugger Youth Wood Bat If your tween doesn’t yet have a wood bat, Louisville Slugger sets the standard for wood bats. Perfect to get them excited for their first Wood Bat tournament next spring!
- Rotibox Bluetooth enabled Beanie with integrated headphones If your tween is notorious for losing things (like headphones) this Bluetooth enabled beanie with integrated headphones will keep them warm while they’re watching Instagram reels at the bus stop.
- MLB The Show 2021 – Jackie Robinson Edition This special edition of the Show is perfect for any baseball player.
- Apple Air Pods Pro For the older teen who isn’t going to lose their ear buds, the Apple Air Pods Pro are comfortable and have amazing sound quality.
- Arm Pro Resistance Bands These Resistance Bands are perfect for building strength at home.
- Power Net Baseball Practice Net Every baseball player needs a Baseball Practice Net. In the Northeast, we use this all winter in our garage, especially when ice and snow closes the indoor training facility. This model earns rave reviews for sturdiness and design.
Big Kid Baseball Players (7 – 11 Years Old)
My other son falls into this age group, and let me tell you – it’s hard not to overbuy Christmas gifts for the 7 to 11 year old kid. They still get excited about Christmas, they may still ‘believe’, and they are just generally excited about everything. Books, toys, game, equipment – – nothing is outside the realm of possibility for gifts for these kids.
Gift Recommendations for 7 – 11 Year Old Baseball Players:
- Throw Throw Burrito Game Full disclosure – I haven’t actually tried this game yet, but based on the THOUSANDS of great reviews alone, I’m purchasing this for my own 10 year baseball player this Christmas. My only reservation is I have two really good pitchers in the family. Am I slightly worried that my kids are going to hurt each other throwing the burrito? Maybe.
- Ball Park Mysteries Boxed Set My kids LOVE all the Ballpark Mysteries books. This great starter set will get your ballplayer started with their own collection of these fun, easy to read mysteries that take place at MLB stadiums.
- MLB Slammin’ Sluggers Game My kids have enjoyed this game for years, a Christmas gift from another family of baseball players.
- Baseball Biographies If your kids are fascinated by Baseball legends, this book is a must read. A nice collection of inspiring biographies from all their favorite players.
- Easton Batting Tee A sturdy batting tee is a must for every developing player.
- Spark Catch Light Up Baseball A rechargeable glowing baseball for backyard catches.
- Franklin Sports Rebounder Net Great for practicing in both backyards and large basements.
Tomorrow I’ll provide gift recommendations for younger kids (ages 5-7), Stocking Stuffers and then recommendations for Baseball families, including Baseball Moms, Baseball Dads, and babies!
